DD 14 | days 1-6
I'm finding a good rhythm with this years December Daily. I'm devoting to done on this project. I think I've only completed 2 other years, last year not being one of them which makes me sad.
The cover page is simple, I just used one of my scanned in paint palettes with a template from Paislee Press's Dec Faves No 3.
using lot's of odds and ends from my "favorites" pile like a piece of white punchella and a sheet of MS mint green woodgrain paper paired with some of my favorite Studio Calico designs.
More stuff from the favorites pile....Jamaica Makes FUN letterpress card in the perfect shade of green and a sheet of marbled paper I had made and photocopied.
I find working on my book every couple of days keeps me on track. If I fall behind, it'll deter me from finishing. I want to make this an enjoyable part of my holidays and so far it has been. All of my supplies are gathered in a cute little Amy Butler tote that I keep by the Christmas tree. It's nice documenting next to the glow of the twinkle lights.
How's DD going for you this year?

week end | 49
First week of December. Done.
Accomplished a lot and feeling as though I'm on top of things like finishing up my gift shopping (for the most part) and diving right into December Daily. I've been giddy about this project, most likely due to Tyler's growing enthusiasm for Christmas and I'm looking forward to working on it tonight while watching American Horror Story (this season is insane).
Happy Weekend.

Studio Calico Park Ave reveal
You may have seen the announcement of the new Studio Calico Creative Team on the blog. A few new faces mixed in with returning designers. I'm happy to see some of my favorite paper crafters on the team. You'll also notice a list of contributing designers which is where I'll be for 2015.
What does that mean? More time to explore and create on my own terms. That was the biggest reason I decided to apply for this part of the team. Getting a box of goodies each month and having to create a set amount of layouts sounds like a dream job and it is for the most part but after 7 straight years, a change was necessary.
This is a super positive change and I'm looking forward to having more time to invest in taking some classes and finishing a few projects for the LLP shop . I really want to take this year to polish up my skills as a working artist/illustrator/graphic designer.
Yay for change!
Okay so I wanted to do a quick tutorial on how I added gold foil digitally onto a photo.
First, you'll need a nice gold foil image. The image I'm using can be found here along with some other gold textures.
Easy peasy! Also works great on digital stamps like this one from Studio Calico's .
There is another way to apply gold foil digitally and that's using the clipping mask option in the Layers menu. Bother are simple ways of adding a little shine to your paper crafting.
Cyber Monday Sale!
Happy Cyber Monday! The LLP shop is up and running! All digital items are 50% off now through December 5 at midnight.
Digital items can be immediately downloaded once purchase has been made. YAY!

It's been a lovely Thanksgiving holiday. Feeling oh so grateful for all good things that have come our way this past year, especially since 2013 and the start of 2014 wasn't so great.
And now comes Christmas! So excited about dusting off the xmas decor and getting the tree up. It's always been a tradition for us to kick off the holidays the weekend after Thanksgiving.
How about you? Is your tree up already or do you wait until after turkey day?
Happy weekend,
Tina
