A sneak of my favorite October layout. Went out of my comfort zone with this one and I'm so glad I did.

I pretty much had that tune in my head the whole time I worked with August's kits. "It as the summer of 69....ooohhhhh". Yes, I'm a bonified craft nerd. Here are the layouts I created for this months kit.

I really can't believe there's still an add on available in the shop. The one with the puppy stamp? Yes, still there and it needs a home. Paper Moon is also still available.
Enjoyed a nice long extended weekend. Accomplished a lot, played a lot, splept in a lot. :) It was all very nice and went by way too fast. Sigh.

for your viewing pleasure.
Singin' in the Rain (main kit)a mixture of the main and the Tap Dance add on. it's been awhile since i've been totally infatuated with an ac alpha. i love this clean & simple font.
a mixture of the main kit and add on mentioned above. i find it incredibly cool that SC includes grey cardstock in their kits.
another mixture of the main and add on. i finally used my Slice! i know the camera is actually backwards but i ended up liking the backside after slicing the image.

We're celebrating the release of Studio Calico's 2 new lines, State Fair & Countryside with a blog hop!
This was the scene after recieving Countryside...a total creative mess. I forgot to scan my layout I made for the CHA booth but there's a little glimpse of it.
I love how the rub ons I used below resemble actual letterpress letters. They make a great statement to a layout.
I also really love the Barnwood shad of Mister Huey. So much so that I'll be giving 1 away here on my blog.
Just leave me a comment and I'll choose a winner tomorrow morning.
Next stop on your blog hop....ms Vee.

first, the winner of one Home Front kit is
what home means to me is the cozy feeling I have when my husband and 3 kids are all home together spending quality time with each other. To me, family really is the heart of the home. I LOVE homefront. Thanks for the chance at winning.
Huge congrats Roberta! Please contact April at april@studiocalico.com for your winnings! :) :) :)
Thanks for all who participated. I loved reading your comments about the meaning of home.
My holiday packs are just about ready and will be in the shop this Friday. Here's a peek...
these holiday packs will contain 5 polaroid prints. I'll have 2 different sets available.
I'll also have a few handmade holiday cards featuring my polaroids as well.
Calendars are on sale now. Don't miss out as I will only have a limited amount this year.
new Dare.
I had no light to work with last night so this is what you get for now. I'll reshoot the whole layout when I get home from work tonight. I ended up using my unsuccessful polaroid transfer I did earlier this week.
I'm sure it was because of the really expired film and not keeping it in cooler temps. But they will not go to waste. Here's another version.
I've got some new film on order so hopefully I'll have a proper polaroid transfer to show next time.
until friday.

Something I've been repeating for the past week....I can't believe how quickly the holidays
are approaching!!! Working with the December Studio Calico kit while listening to Christmas
songs. Crazy, I know but it's the only way I can get in to the holiday spirit mid-November. I'm
actually starting to get excited and a little giddy. Here's what I did this past weekend:
(click on photo for larger image)
I'm working with the main kit, Center Stage, Swan Lake which is one of 2 add ons and the project kit, Nutcracker.
I'm still on the hunt for my perfect holiday party dress. I have purchased 3, yes 3 dresses so far. All returnable of course. Shoes, not a problem. In fact, I'm working around the shoes. Black, hidden platform, very high heel. Love. Keep in mind my man is 6' 6", I can't arrive to my party looking like tiny tim. I only wish a few of my blog/scrap/online/fashionable buds were around to help me decide......
Thanks for all the blog tips. I ended up going with google reader who I'm now married too. Where has he been all my life?
Happy Tuesday,
Tina
Coming in with a little peeksie of what I've been working on for Studio Calico. I'll post more tomorrow. The weekend was great, quick but great. The only thing that sucked was my internet connection going in and out but it gave me an excuse to get outside and do other things besides sit behind my laptop. Eating healthy and exercise is still going strong. So many temptations being thrown at me but I happily say, "no thank you" to Cinnamon loaf bread and ice cream. Seriously, I haven't gone this whole week and half just to blow it that. I want to make a big breakfast for J and I on Saturday and would much rather treat myself with a hot stack of buttermilk pancakes. mmmmmm... Ladies with long hair, do you ever wake up with the kind of bed head that makes you look like a Victoria's Secret model? My hair was so full and perfectly tousled this morning. Spritz a little spray and was out the door. An hour into work, it's flat again. boo. Alright, enough of this randomness. Take care, Tina
We're celebrating NSD over at Studio Calico today! No, not that nsd, National Step Day! Yep, that's right. I'm sure you all know her. Stephanie Howell is the newest member of the Studio Calico design team. To celebrate her welcome and premiere night tonight, each dt member is giving away a May kit. You heard me, a Free May Kit!
Leave me some love and one of you will be rewarded. And if you want to greater your chances, leave my ladies some love too.
Caroline: Pictures & Words
Davinie: My Little Piece of that Azure Sky

Just to be more clear so your chance at the free 6 month sub isn't botched, you need to go onto the Studio Calico site, create a username and them post on the "NSD Bring a Friend" thread. Be sure to credit your source!
So far, this is a big hit....lot's of newbies on the mb's in the past few days. I look forward to seeing you there!
:)
Tina
It's easy, really, it is. I don't want to hear any excuses as to why you can't!
This thread is officially open and will close at 11:59pm on National Scrapbook Day: Saturday May 3.
Between now and then, you and your friends have an opportunity to win a 6 month sub to Studio Calico!!!!
Here’s how it works.
You may refer as many people as you like, but they have to post before 11:59pm on NSD.
From that list, we will be drawing for a 6 month sub, for both of the "friends." The more friends you bring, the more likely you are to have your name drawn….get the drift.
The drawing will be at 12:00am and will be announced immediately and the free sub will begin with the May kit.
If either already has a paid sub, that’s fine, we’ll refund your payment for May and you will get the May kit plus the following 5 months free.
One more thing, you need to refer someone who has never signed up for a username.

Thanks and have fun!!!!!
Any plans for NSD? I've already planned my weekend around some serious paper cutting and gluing and chatting with other creative girlies who share my love for the day dedicated to scrapbooking. It's has to start with a starbucks run though. I don't do well decaffeinated. Will also have to pick up some snacks. Very important. And make sure to clean my favorite comfy a&f sweats. sexy, I know. Let me know if you're going to be around so we can hook up and chat, k? Hope you can make it! Finally, since I just got done watching GG. Jenni's a lot taller than I thought. Lance and his devilish eyes are growing on me and what Georgina did at the end........all I can say is Serena better watch her man.
Goodnight!
Tina
