a day to say thanks to the awesome boss's (or bosses?) out there. Coming from someone who HATED their former job and had many a dirtbag bosses. Now I'm living the life that I was meant to live thanks to my current boss. Someone who I consider one of the OG lady bosses of our time, April Foster. She truly inspires me to reach out beyond what I think I can handle.
To say that I draw and create on a daily basis for a living….it's all because of her and I am truly grateful for the opportunity.
This is also dedicated to all of us girl bosses who hustle hard everyday. There's a common misconception that working for yourself is a fairytale world….it's not. It's working until the wee hours of the night or before sunset for some of us. It's a constant state of motion because it's our passion that fuels us. And not to mention bringing in income.
It's the Ali Edwards and Elise Blahas, the Amy Tans and Kelly Purkeys of the world that keep me going on my path. They have taken this industry way beyond what I ever imagined and it's exciting to live in a time where we can be our own successful girl bosses.
Here's to us and to all the awesome women out there who hustle for their families but more importantly for themselves.
Remember to treat yo' self because you deserve it.
